		<description>The best present I probably got as a kid were rollerblades. But that was for Christmas.

As far as birthdays go...
I think it was the jewelry making kit I got when I was nine.

I didn&#039;t make much jewelry but I sure enjoyed the roll of wire it came with and the fact that my mom practically gave me her needlenose pliers.
Still use that wire to this day for random DIY stuff.
Have no idea where the beads are anymore.

Oh, and speaking of models...
I&#039;d like to point out that we have a pretty good sized (apparently &quot;San Diego&#039;s largest&quot;) hobby shop on Black Mountain Rd. across from AM/PM that has plenty of models.
