<description>I think the farmers&#039; market has gone downhill since last year. I am a devoted shopper and i have noticed there are fewer fruit/veggie vendors and some of those are obviously not monitored.
Last week I noticed Brussel sprouts at one stand for $2/pound and pre-made plastic bags with sprouts also for $2. When I asked them to weigh the package, the clerk claimed it was a pound, but the scale showed only 3/4 pound. This week, the green beans in plastic weighed the same as the loose beans cost per pound, but when i got the beans home, over half were so dried out and in the first stages of decay I had to throw them away. Most of us go to the market for FRESH produce and don&#039;t mind paying a little more, after my past two experiences, I will go back to Henry&#039;s or a Farmers market in another area for honest weight and really fresh produce.
