Start the summer right by cleaning out your garage, attic, and back yard. Drop off any usable items to the Goodwill Drop Off just off the 15 Freeway at Mira Mesa Blvd., then take the rest to the free community cleanup and recycling event at Mira Mesa High School.

The Mira Mesa Town Council “Clean and Green” day this year is on Saturday, July 19 at Mira Mesa High School. This community clean up and recycling event is sponsored by the San Diego City Environmental Services Department. This event is for households only, as no business waste is accepted by the city.Mira Mesa Clean and Green Day

Items not accepted: light bulbs/tubes, dirt, construction or demolition rubble, hazardous wastes (paint, motor oil, batteries) and tires.

I agree Joy… but the City just doesn’t have any money. I heard this might be the last one for a while, but that can always change. I am keeping my fingers crossed, as this is a much needed community event.

I have tons of o-o-o-o-o-l-d computer equipment. This will be a great way to get rid of it. On the other hand, if I hang on to it for another decade it may be considered priceless antiques.

not sure if I can get a ride, if I hobble there with a cart, will I not get in? I have 2 monitors and would have to make 2 trips.
