Fund-Raising Event benefiting the Mira Mesa Junior Women’s Club
The Mira Mesa Women’s Club is sponsoring a fund-raiser for Emily Rose Bare, a student at Walker Elementary. She’s 8 years old and was just diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) which has also gone into her lungs. She is now having Chemo treatment.
Her parent’s have no medical insurance and have not worked for the past two weeks, to be with their daughter.
The fund-raiser is being held at Fuddruckers on February 19th, from 4 to 9 p.m. and a portion of your total purchase will go directly to the fund. Attached is the flyer you will need for them to get credit. You need to download it and print it, and then bring it with you to Fuddruckers. If you are not able to attend, but would like to make a donation, make a check payable to: GFWC-MIRA MESA WOMEN’S CLUB and mail it to:

First and foremost, I would like to thank Doug’s willingness to post this great event and a good cause to beneift Emily and her family, as well as the Mira Mesa Jr. Womens Club and not but not least Fuddruckers. Please I encourage everyone from this community to join the Women’s Club in helping to support this family by enjoying a great meal with friends & families in Fuddruckers or making a donation if unable to attend. I just want to say that the Mira Mesa community pulled together and last night’s event was a great success because of that. Fuddruckers were full of people and everyone who were there have the flyers to support Emily and her family. There was a band playing for entertainment and everyone enjoyed the music as well as the great food and fellowships with friends & families. It was a blessing to see Emily smiling inspite of what she is going through. God you all! The Vantas
