Casino-a-Go-Go
Have a great time while helping raise money for this year’s 4th of July fireworks display. The Mira Mesa Community 4th of July Committee and Scripps-Mesa Fireworks, Inc., are sponsoring “Casino-a-Go-go” along with co-sponsors Knights of Columbus at the Good Shepherd Parish on Saturday March 29th.
“Casino-a-Go-Go” is this year’s theme (late 60’s / early 70’s ambience) for their “just for fun” Casino Night inside the social hall at the Good Shepherd Parish. There will be some of your favorite casino games; Blackjack, Craps and a Roulette Wheel. There will also be a Silent Auction, as well as a Raffle for some great door prizes. Light refreshments are included, and you can also purchase soft drinks, beer, wine and mixed drinks at the Knights of Columbus cash bar.
Putting on such an awesome fireworks display each year costs a lot of money, and this is one of the major events that is put on to help raise money to support it. So please… mark your calendar and plan to attend this year’s “Casino-a-Go-Go” and help support your community.
Also, they are still looking for more volunteers to help plan and publicize the event, so if you are interested in that or just getting more information please plan on attending the next 4th of July Committee meeting. It will be held at the Mira Mesa Senior Center (which is right across the street from the High School) on Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 6:30 p.m… You can also contact the Mira Mesa 4th of July Committee president Debbie Vincent, (858) 566-6749, or Vice-president Karen Burger, (858) 271-0419 for more details.
